View and manage your Zap history

The Zap history page displays a log of all Zap workflows that have run. You can use it to review your account task usage and troubleshoot Zap workflows. It consists of two parts: Zap runs and task usage.

Note

Transfers also appear in your Zap history.

Zap runs

Zapier records information about each Zap run that occurs. You can check Zap runs from the Zap history page and within the Zap editor.

Zap runs in the Zap history page

On the Zap history page, the Zap runs tab displays up to 10 Zap runs per page. Each Zap run in the list displays the Zap run status to confirm whether your Zap ran successfully. Search for specific Zap workflows in the search box or filter Zap runs by the:

  • Date.
  • Zap name.
  • Apps used in Zap.
  • Folder Zap is located in.
  • Zap owner.
  • Zap status.

The Zap history page displays your selected filters as buttons below the filter fields. You can remove a filter by clicking its button.

Select a Zap run from the list to check its Zap run details. In the Zap details page, you can find the specific version number and version name used for that run. It appears at the top of the page, below the name of the Zap. You can use the Zap history search box to search for runs that used a specific Zap version. Enter the version number (for example, "v3") or version name in the search box.

You can also replay unsuccessful Zap runs from the Zap history page.

Delete Zap runs

To delete Zap runs:

  1. Select the checkbox next to each one you want to delete.
  2. Select Delete X (where X is the number of selected Zap runs).
Note

A Zap run's status determines what happens when you delete a Zap run.

If the status is filtered, held, stopped, or success, the Zap finished running the action. Deleting the Zap run only removes the record of the run. It cannot undo the action.

If the status is playing or waiting, the Zap has not finished running the action yet. Deleting the Zap run prevents the Zap from finishing the run. It also deletes the record of the run.

Task usage

The Task usage tab shows how many tasks your Zap workflows used in a selected date range. It includes two summary metrics, a bar chart of daily task totals, and a table of individual Zap workflows.

The summary metrics are:

  • Zaps that ran: the number of unique Zap workflows that ran at least once in the selected period.
  • Billable Zap tasks: the total tasks from those runs that count toward your plan limit. This includes task multipliers. For example, a Code by Zapier step using extended runtime or an AI by Zapier step with tools may count as more than 1 task per run.

The table lists up to 100 Zap workflows, sorted by Tasks used (highest first). If tasks from deleted Zap workflows rank in the top 100, a Deleted Zap workflows row appears in the table at its corresponding position.

When no date range is selected, the tab shows the current billing period. You can filter by date range, Zap, or owner. To remove a filter, click X next to it.

To edit a Zap or check its details, click the Zap, then select an option from the dropdown menu.

Note

On Team and Enterprise plans, Admins and Owners can review task usage for all Zap workflows across the account. Members can only review usage for Zap workflows they own or that have been shared with them.

Why task counts may differ from your billing page

The number of tasks shown in your Task usage tab may be lower than the number shown on your billing page, Admin Center, or Analytics. This is because not all locations track the same activity. Learn what each location shows and who can access it.

Zap history storage limits

Zapier can only guarantee a maximum of 60 days of Zap run data in your Zap history and will display up to 10,000 runs. If you need to keep longer-term records of your Zap run data, you can regularly export your Zap history.
