Zapier’s refund policy

On December 11, 2023, Zapier changed how credits work upon cancellation or downgrading. The content of this page reflects the new policies.

Zapier offers refunds in certain situations. This guide will help you understand if you're eligible for a refund.

Before you request a refund

If you're eligible for a refund, don’t delete your account. Doing so removes your payment history and prevents Zapier from issuing a refund. First, downgrade your account to the plan you want to prevent further charges of your current plan. Then, contact our support team

This refund policy applies when you:

  • Downgrade to a Free plan.
  • Downgrade to a plan type with fewer features (i.e. Professional to Starter).
  • Downgrade to a lower task tier in the same plan (i.e. Professional 10K to Professional 5K).
  • Cancel or downgrade an add-on.

You can learn more about changing or canceling your Zapier plan.

Refunds are not automated. You must contact Zapier Support to request a refund.

Refund eligibility

Eligibility for refunds on Zapier plans is based on the type of billing cycle (monthly or yearly). You can find the specific details for each billing cycle below.

Refunds for add-ons depend on when the last payment was made.

Monthly plans Yearly plans Add-ons
When was the last payment made? No task usage There was task usage
6 months ago or less

A full refund of up to 3 most recent charges if there was no task usage during those months. You must contact support within 6 months of your last charge.

Zapier will only issue a refund for the months immediately preceding the refund request. Only the most recent consecutive months of no task usage before the refund request will be eligible for a refund. For example, in the last 6 months, if you had task usage in the 4th and 2nd month before the charge but no task usage in any other month, you’ll only be eligible for a refund for the 1 month before the charge.

No refund. Your plan will continue to be active until the end of the billing cycle.
