Manage your app connections

The Apps page allows you to view all connected app connections and all Zaps associated with them in your Zapier account. There are two tabs: Connections and Apps.

Connections tab

The Connections tab displays a list of all app connections in your account. You can easily filter by status (active or expired connection), the app, or owner of the connection. Each app in the list includes the following info:

  • Name: the name of the connection.
  • App: the app that Zapier connected to.
  • Zaps: the number of Zaps associated with the connection.
  • Last modified: the last time the connection was changed, including testing the account.
  • People with access: displays the avatars of all users who you shared the connection with.

You can click the settings icon next to any connection to:

  • Rename the connection.
  • Discover use cases for the app.
  • Test the connection to verify it's still valid.
  • Reconnect a connection (only visible when the connection is expired).
  • Replace the connection by logging in again.
  • Change the owner of the connection.
  • Delete the connection.

You can also share with or transfer app connections to other members of your Zapier account.

Test your app connection

After setting up an app connection, you can test it to confirm it’s successfully connected. To test if your app connection is still active:

  • Go to the Apps page.
  • Click the settings icon in the app connection you want to test. A dropdown menu will open.
  • Click Test connection.
  • The connection will display one of the following icons:
    • Active icon: the connection is active.
      • Displayed as a white checkmark in a green circle.
    • Expired icon: the connection is no longer active.
      • Displayed as a white X in a red circle.
      • You will also see a Reconnect button displayed next to the icon.
      • You must reconnect your app account to continue using it.

Reconnect your account

You can reconnect your app account at any time. This is helpful when an app connection expires.

  • Go to the Apps page.
  • Click Reconnect next to the expired icon. A dialog box will appear.
  • Click Reconnect. A new browser tab or window will open.
  • Follow the instructions to connect your app account.

The app account will be reconnected for all Zaps that use it.

Replace your connection

You can replace your app connection by connecting to a different account at any time. This is helpful you need to change a connection because a user in your account leaves.

  • Go to the Apps page.
  • Click Reconnect next to the expired icon. A dialog box will appear.
  • Click Reconnect. A new browser tab or window will open.
  • Follow the instructions to connect your app account.

The app account will be replaced for all Zaps that use it.

Delete your app connection

To delete an app connection from your Zapier account:

  • Go to the Apps page.
  • Click the settings icon in the app connection you want to test. A dropdown menu will open.
  • Click Delete. A dialog box will appear.
  • Click Delete connection.

Once deleted, Zapier will no longer have access to your account. You must update any Zap steps that use the connection, replacing it with a new connection.

Tip

For users on the Enterprise plan, you can control app access in your Zapier account.

Limitations

  • Each user can have up to 5,000 app connections.
  • If an app connection displays an Expired icon with a Reconnect button next to it, you must reconnect your account before you can continue using it.
