You can transfer existing data from a table in Zapier Tables, processing each record through a connected Zap. This approach lets you migrate historical data, manage one-time data transfers, or move data when you start using a new app. Zapier Tables allows you to import existing data from a CSV, Airtable, Excel, Google Sheets, or Slack into a table in Zapier Tables. Then, you transfer data from the table into your existing Zap.
Use it to:
- Migrate historical data into your Zap workflows.
- Manage one-time data transfers between apps.
- Move data when you start using a new app.
- Process data from any source that exports CSVs.

Select Transfer data. A dialog box will appear.
- The Transfer data option will only be enabled if your Zap has been published at least once, though it does not need to be turned on after that.
- In the Tables field, click the input box.
-
Search for and select an existing table.
- You can also import existing data into a new table, then return to this window to transfer that data.
- Click Continue. You will be redirected to a new screen in the dialog box.
- In the Review data screen, select each record you want to transfer.
- In the bottom right, click Import selected records. You will be redirected to a new screen in the dialog box.
-
In the Map your data from: [Table] screen (where "[Table]" is the name of the table you selected), you must map fields from your table to the corresponding fields in your Zap.
- The dialog box will display fields that currently have field mappings, with an input box above them. Use the input box to select the fields to transfer data from.
- Click Continue. You will be redirected to a new screen in the dialog box.
-
Click Confirm your run. You will be redirected to a new screen in the dialog box.
- Each record you selected will correspond to 1 Zap run.
- Click Done.
Each transferred record will appear as a unique Zap run.
Limitations
- To transfer data, you must publish the Zap at least once. You cannot transfer data in the initial draft of a Zap. The Zap does not have to be turned on after the initial publication.
- You can transfer up to 25,000 records at a time.
- Each record that is transferred uses 1 task.
- Some apps may have other limits, like rate limits.
- If there are a large number of records in your table, it may take some time to process all records.
