Change ownership of an interface

You can change ownership of an interface in Zapier Interfaces to another user in your Zapier account. This option is only available to users on Team or Enterprise plans.

Requirements

  • The interface must be part of a Team or Enterprise Zapier account.
  • You must be the current interface owner, the Zapier account owner, or a Super Admin.

How to change ownership of an interface

When you change ownership of an interface, only the interface is assigned to the new owner. Any Zaps, tables, or other assets must be shared separately. 

To change the owner of an interface in your Zapier account:

  1. From the Interfaces home, select your interface.
  2. In the top navigation of the interface, click Share. A dialog box will appear.

Transfer to a user who does not have access to the interface

  • Click the Change owner icon .
  • In the search box, search for and select the name or email address of the new owner.
    • If there are any linked assets, they will be listed in the dialog box. You must share them separately.
  • Click Change owner.

The new owner will get an email notification about the change.

Note
  • If the interface is shared with your Zapier account or your team, you'll retain access and have the same role as other users.
  • If the interface is not shared with the account, you'll no longer have access to it.

Limitations

  • Ensure you change the owner of any other assets to avoid breaking existing automations. Learn how to change ownership of:
  • You cannot undo ownership changes. Always verify the name and email of the person before transferring.
