You can change ownership of a shared Zap to another user, as long as they are also a member of the same Team or Enterprise account.
Change ownership of a single Zap
- Go to the Zaps section of the Zaps page.
- On the right side of the Zap you want to change ownership of, click the settings menu icon . A dropdown menu will open.
- Click Change owner. A dialog box will appear.
- In the New owner field, search for and select the user you want to transfer ownership to.
- Click Change owner.
Change ownership of multiple Zaps
- Go to the folder section of the Zaps page.
- Select the folder that contains the Zaps you want to change ownership of. You'll be redirected to that folder's page.
- Select the checkbox next to each Zap you want to change ownership of.
- In the menu at the bottom of the screen, click Change owner.
- A dialog box will appear.
- In the New owner field, search for and select the user you want to transfer ownership to.
- Click Change owner.
Limitations
Permissions
- You can only assign a single owner to a Zap at a time.
- The owner of the Zap, as well as account admins, super admins, and the owner can change ownership of a shared Zap. Learn more about managing your Team or Enterprise account roles and permissions.
- After transferring ownership of a Zap, the new owner will automatically gain access to the shared folder and any shared app connections used in the Zap.
- Private app connections used in the Zap are not shared.
Private folders
- You cannot share a Zap in a personal folder.
- You must move the Zap into a shared folder before you can share it.
- Super admins and account owners can move Zaps from private folders into shared folders.
Zap history
- Transferring ownership of a Zap does not impact the Zap's history or held Zap runs.
- Any user who has permission to view the Zap can still review them.
