How to change ownership of a form project
When you change ownership of a form project, only the form project is assigned to the new owner. Any Zaps, tables, or other assets must be shared separately.
To change the owner of a form project in your Zapier account:
- From the Forms home, select your form project.
- In the top navigation of the form project, click Share. A dialog box will appear.
Transfer to a user who does not have access to the form project
- Click the Change owner icon.
- In the search box, search for and select the name or email address of the new owner.
- If there are any linked assets, they will be listed in the dialog box. You must share them separately.
- Click Change owner.
The new owner will get an email notification about the change.
Transfer to a user who already has access to the form project
You can change the role of an existing form project user to make them the owner.
- From the list of users with access, scroll to find the user.
- Click the dropdown menu beside their name and select Make owner.
- If there are any linked assets, they will be listed in the dialog box. You must share them separately.
- Click Change owner.
The new owner will get an email notification about the change.
Note
- If the form project is shared with your Zapier account or your team, you'll retain access and have the same role as other users.
- If the form project is not shared with the account, you'll no longer have access to it.
- If you still need access, you must ask the new owner to add you as an editor.
