As part of recent changes to migrate apps to the latest Zapier Platform, the Google Sheets app on Zapier will release a new app version on December 4, 2024. It will feature updated triggers with a new file size limit. This means spreadsheet files must be 30 MB or less. If it is too large, Zapier cannot process your data. Actions will remain the same.
How will this update affect users
- On December 4, 2024, all Zaps using the current Google Apps app version will be marked as “Legacy.”
- The new app version of Google Sheets will be available on December 4, 2024.
- On December 11, 2024, Zaps will be converted to the latest app version of Google Sheets. If your Zaps contains spreadsheets with file sizes larger than 30MB, they will stop working.
To prepare for this update
Before December 11, 2024, you must update your Zaps to ensure all connected spreadsheets have a file size of 30MB or smaller.
Find affected Zaps
- Go to My Apps.
- Search for and select Google Sheets (legacy).
- Click View Zaps.
Check your spreadsheet size
You can check the size of the spreadsheet in Google Drive.
Transfer large spreadsheets into Zapier Tables
If you wish to continue using large spreadsheets with Zapier, you can import them into Zapier Tables. You can import from Google Sheets or upload CSV files (up to 50 MB). Discover more about Zapier Tables and its usage limits.
