Import and export Zaps in your Team or Enterprise account

You can import and export Zaps to easily back up and share Zaps with other accounts.

Import Zaps

To import a Zap JSON file:

  1. Go to your account Settings page.
  2. In the left sidebar under the My account section, select Security and data.
  3. In the Data management section, click the upload icon in the Upload my Zaps setting. A dialog box will appear.
  4. Click Choose File. Your computer’s file management system window will open.
  5. Select the file that you want to import.
  6. Click either:
    • View Imported Zaps to review your import.
    • Done.
  7. Imported Zaps are located in a new private folder in your account, with the name “Imported Zaps - YYYY-MM-DD” where “YYYY-MM-DD” represents the date you imported your Zaps.

Export your own Zaps

You can export all of your Zaps as a JSON file.

  • Go to your account Settings page.
  • In the left sidebar under the My account section, select Security and data.
  • In the Data management section, click the download icon in the Download my Zaps setting. Your computer’s download management system window open.
  • Select a location on your computer to store your downloaded Zaps.

Export all Zaps in your account

If you're the owner of the account, you can also export all Zaps from all users.

  • Go to your account Settings page.
  • In the left sidebar under the My account section, select Security and data.
  • In the Data management section, click the download icon in the Download private and shared Zaps setting.
  • Zapier will email a JSON file containing your Zaps to your account email address.

Limitations

  • Import and export only support the JSON file format.
  • Unless you are the account owner or super admin, you can only export Zaps you own.
  • If the Zap is large, it may require more time to import.
  • If there are many Zaps in your account, it may require more time to export.
  • Import is not available during your free Zapier trial.
