You can import and export Zap workflows to easily back up and share Zap workflows with other accounts.

Import Zap workflows
To import a Zap JSON file:
- Go to your account Settings page.
- In the left sidebar under the My account section, select Security and data.
- In the Data management section, click the upload icon in the Upload my Zap workflows setting. A dialog box will appear.
- Click Choose File. Your computer’s file management system window will open.
- Select the file that you want to import.

Click either:
- View Imported Zap workflows to review your import.
- Done.
- Imported Zap workflows are located in a new folder in your account, with the name “Imported Zap workflows - YYYY-MM-DD” where “YYYY-MM-DD” represents the date you imported your Zap workflows.

After importing your Zap workflows:
- Turn on your Zap workflows.
- Test your app connections. If an app connection is no longer active, reconnect the app connection.
Export Zap workflows from settings
Export your own Zap workflows
You can export all of your Zap workflows as a JSON file.
- Go to your account Settings page.
- In the left sidebar under the My account section, select Security and data.
- In the Data management section, click the download icon in the Download my Zap workflows setting. Your computer’s download management system window open.
- Select a location on your computer to store your downloaded Zap workflows.
Export all Zap workflows in your account
If you're the account owner or super admin, you can also export all Zap workflows from all users.
- Go to your account Settings page.
- In the left sidebar under the My account section, select Security and data.
- In the Data management section, click the download icon in the Download private and shared Zap workflows setting.
- Zapier will email a JSON file containing your Zap workflows to your account email address.
Limitations
- Import and export only support the JSON file format.
- Unless you are the account owner or super admin, you can only export Zap workflows you own.
- If the Zap is large, it may require more time to import.
- If there are many Zap workflows in your account, it may require more time to export.
- Import is not available during your free Zapier trial.
