Jira Software Server uses basic authentication to authenticate your account on Zapier. Enter your Jira Software Server username and password to authenticate.

Are any special account permissions required? Yes
  • You'll need full admin permissions along with API access. Learn more about Jira Software Server's account permissions.
  • If you see the error “Max retries exceeded with url: /rest/auth/1/session (Caused by : [Errno -2] Name or service not known)” when connecting to Zapier, you must add Zapier’s IP address to Jira’s allowlist.

Are custom fields supported? Yes
  • Custom fields are supported, however, they may not be consistently returned for a project. This is an issue with Jira, and you can track this Jira bug for updates.
