Agents interpret your instructions to fill out action fields. If the agent misunderstands your intent, it may enter incorrect values.
Symptom
Your agent completes an action, but the data it enters is wrong. For example, the agent sends a message to the wrong Slack channel, creates a task with an incorrect due date, or uses the wrong email address.
Causes
- The instructions are ambiguous about which values to use.
- The agent is guessing field values when it should use specific values.
- The agent does not have enough context to make the right choice.
How to fix it
- Review the agent's activity to see what values it used: - From your agent's page, click Activity at the top. - Find the run with the incorrect data and expand it to see the field values.
- Identify which field was filled out incorrectly.
- Update how the agent handles that field: - Go to your agent's Configure screen. - Find the action with the incorrect field. - Change the field setting from "Let agent decide" to a specific value, or add clearer instructions about what value to use.
