When using the WhatsApp Notifications Send Message action in your Zaps, you see the error message "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘map’)". You may see this error when setting up a Zap or in the details of a Zap run in your Zap history.
Causes
This happens when your message is more than 1024 characters long. The number of characters in your message, including the template and all of the information you add, cannot exceed 1024.
How to fix it
To fix this issue:
- Review the values in the fields in your Send Message action and whether or not they are essential.
- Use a Formatter step to truncate text.
- Shorten URLs to save characters.
