When using WhatsApp Notifications Send Message action in your Zap workflows, you see the error message "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘map’)". You may see this error when setting up a Zap or in the details of a Zap run in your Zap history.
Causes
This happens when:
- You’ve not selected a template.
- You used a custom value in the Template field. You cannot create your own template within Zapier. You must use one of the available pre-defined templates to send a message.
How to fix it
To fix this issue:

In the Template field:
- Click the three dot icon .
- Select Static.
- Select a pre-defined template.
- (Optional) If you want more templates, send your suggestions to the Zapier Support team.
