Use Zapier Agents' Chrome extension

Beta

This product is in open beta. It’s available for use but still in active development and may change.

When you browse pages and websites, you can use the Zapier Agents' Chrome extension to chat with your agent and ask it to summarize content, use behaviors, and search within the page or website.

Note

The Agents extension currently only works on Google Chrome. It does not work on Chromium-based browsers.

Install the Agents extension

  1. Visit Zapier Agents's extension page on the Chrome web store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome. A dialog box will open.
  3. Click Add extension. The dialog box will close after installation.

Once it finishes installing, you can pin it to the browser bar to find it easily.

  1. On your Chrome browser bar, click the Extension icon. A menu will open.
  2. Find Zapier Agents in your list of extensions and click the pin icon beside it.

  2. If you're signed in to your Zapier account, you can select any existing agents or create a new agent
  3. If you're not signed in, click Sign into Agents on the sidebar. You'll be redirected to the Zapier login page.

Chat with your agent

You can then talk to an agent on any page you're visiting, and ask it to answer questions or perform actions related to the content. Here are some examples of things you can do:

  • Summarize the content of the page you're on and share it on Slack.
  • Check if a specific website contains articles related to a topic you're searching for.
  • Ask the agent to produce an academic reference for a URL in a specific format, such as MLA or APA, and save it in a spreadsheet using an instant action.
