Share a process and collaborate on a canvas

Zapier Canvas is a beta product/feature. It’s available for use, but still in active development and may change.

You can share a canvas publicly with anyone through a link, or by downloading a PNG file with the complete process. You can also share it with other account members.

 

Share a public link

You can create a public link to share your canvas as view only with people who do not have access to your Zapier account.

  • Click Share on the top right corner of the screen.
  • Click the Public link tab. A new field will appear with the address for your canvas.
  • Click the copy icon to copy the link to your clipboard.
    • You can disable the public URL by clicking the trash icon.

 

Share a PNG of the process

  • Click Share on the top right corner of the screen.
  • Click Download PNG to get a PNG file of the whole canvas. The file will be saved to your computer.

 

Collaborate with your team

If you're on a Team, Company or Enterprise Zapier plan, you can invite team members to collaborate on developing the process. 

Invite specific members Give access to all members

To invite specific users to edit a canvas: 

  • Click Share on the top right corner of the canvas screen.
  • In the Add member or team text field, start typing the name of the person.
  • In the Role dropdown menu:
    • Select Editor to give access to edit the canvas and manage settings.
    • Select Viewer to give view-only access.

 

Note

The account owner and all super admins have editor access to all canvas on the account.

Add comments to a canvas

You can use comments to explain steps or request feedback from team members.

To add a comment:

  1. On the bottom of a canvas, click the Comment icon.
  2. Click any empty space on the canvas to place the comment.
  3. Type your comment. You can also use emojis.
  4. Click Send to finish your comment.

Comments can be moved around using the Move tool.

Mention someone

If you're on a Teams or Companies account, you can mention another team member using the @ button. 

  1. On a comment, click the @ button.
  2. A list of team members will appear. Keep entering their name to filter the list.
  3. Once you finish writing the comment, click the Send button.

Provide feedback and get help

You can request a feature, provide feedback on the product, and get help from the Canvas team.
