Share a process and collaborate on a canvas


Zapier Canvas is a beta product/feature. It’s available for use, but still in active development and may change.


You can share a canvas with anyone through a public link or by downloading a PNG file with the complete process.

Share a public URL

Public URLs are view only and can be shared with anyone. To leave comments and make changes to a canvas, users with permissions can log in to Zapier from the canvas. To create a public URL:

  • Click Share on the top right corner of the screen.
  • Click Generate public URL. A new field will appear with the address for your canvas.
  • Click the copy icon  to copy the link to your clipboard.
    • You can delete the public URL by clicking the trash icon .


Share a PNG of the process

  • Click Share on the top right corner of the screen.

Click Download PNG to get a PNG file of the whole canvas. The file will be saved to your computer.


Collaborate with your team

If you're on a Teams or Enterprise Zapier plan, you can invite team members to collaborate on developing the process. To do so:

  • Click Share on the top right corner of the screen.
  • To invite a specific person or team, start typing the name in the Person or team text field.
  • To make it available to all users on your account, click the dropdown menu on the Anyone at <your account name> section.
    • Select Can edit to give edit access to members of the account.
    • Select No access to prevent members from seeing and editing this canvas.
  • Changes are saved automatically.

Add comments to a canvas

You can use comments to explain steps or request feedback from team members.

To add a comment:

  1. On the bottom of a canvas, click the Comment icon.
  2. Click any empty space on the canvas to place the comment.
  3. Type your comment. You can also use emojis.
  4. Click Send to finish your comment.

Comments can be moved around using the Move tool.

Mention someone

If you're on a Teams or Companies account, you can mention another team member using the @ button. 

  1. On a comment, click the @ button.
  2. A list of team members will appear. Keep entering their name to filter the list.
  3. Once you finish writing the comment, click the Send button.

Provide feedback and get help

You can request a feature, provide feedback on the product, and get help from the Canvas team.
