Invite others to collaborate on your canvas

This product is in open beta. It’s available for use but still in active development and may change.

You can invite other members of your Zapier account to collaborate in your canvas. You can also add comments and mention members on them to leave notes about a step or the process.

 

Invite team members

If you're on a Team or Enterprise Zapier account, you can invite team members to collaborate on developing a process. You can invite specific people or give access to all members.

Invite specific members

To invite specific users to edit a canvas: 

  • From the Canvas home, click the name of your canvas.
  • Click Share on the top right corner of the screen.
  • In the Add member or team text field, start typing the name of the person.
  • In the Role dropdown menu:
    • Select Editor to give access to edit the canvas and manage settings.
    • Select Viewer to give view-only access.

 

Note

The account owner and all super admins have editor access to all canvas on the account.

Add comments to a canvas

To add a comment:

  1. On the bottom of a canvas, click the Comment icon.
  2. Click any empty space on the canvas to place the comment.
  3. Write your comment. You can also use emojis.
  4. Click Send to finish your comment.

Comments can be moved around using the Move tool.

Mention someone

If you're on a Team or Enterprise Zapier account, you can mention another team member using the @ button. 

  1. When writing a comment, click the @ button.
  2. A list of team members will appear. Keep typing the name to filter the list.
  3. Once you finish writing the comment, click the Send button.
