Manage your account and Zaps with Zapier Manager

Zapier Manager is the housekeeping tool for your Zapier account. It allows you to set up Zaps for receiving notifications for Zap errors or when you reach your task usage limits; turning off your Zaps; inviting new members to your team and more.

Using this tool doesn't count towards your task usage.

Zapier Manager can be used as a trigger, an action, or a search step within your Zaps.

  1. In the Zap editor, go to the Trigger step.
  2. In the App & event tab, search for and select Zapier Manager.
  3. Click the Event dropdown menu and select the event that you want to trigger Zapier Manager. For example, you can choose to trigger the Zap when a Zap in your account encounters an error, or when a task in one of your Zaps is halted.

  • If the Zap is in a Team or Company account, error notifications will go to the user who created the errored Zap, not the user who set up the error notification Zap.
  • The New Zap Error trigger will not provide information about a specific task that errored. Errors are raised for Zaps, not for specific tasks.

Once you’ve set up your trigger, you can set up an action. For example, if the Zap triggers when a Zap in your account encounters an error, you might set up an action to send you a Slack notification to inform you of this error.

To use Zapier Manager in a search step, you'll need to create a multi-step Zap, which is only available on paid plans, as this workflow requires at least two actions.

  1. You must first set up your trigger which tells Zapier when to start the search process.
  2. In the Zap editor, go to the Action step. If you don’t see this step, click the + icon to add a new step.
  3. In the App & event tab, search for and select Zapier Manager.
  4. Click the Event dropdown menu and select the search event that you want Zapier Manager to perform. For example, you can choose to have Zapier Manager search for a specific Zap in your account, or a public app on Zapier.

Once you've set up your search step, you can insert or use the data in a later action step in your Zap.
