Prerequisites
To use the Greenhouse app on Zapier, you must have:
- A paid Zapier account. Greenhouse is a premium app.
- An active Greenhouse Recruiting account (available on all subscription tiers).
- Basic user permissions or above with the ability to manage ALL organization's API credentials in Greenhouse.
- A Harvest API key created specifically for Zapier with the following endpoint permissions enabled: Candidates, Jobs, Job Posts, and Users. These permissions are required for Greenhouse's standard triggers and actions on Zapier.
NoteIf you plan to use the API Request (Beta) action, you must enable additional endpoint permissions on your Harvest API key for each endpoint you intend to query (for example, Applications, Offers, or Custom Fields). Without the matching permissions, requests to those endpoints return a permissions error. Learn more about available endpoints in Greenhouse's API documentation.
Connect Greenhouse to Zapier
To create an app connection to Greenhouse on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Greenhouse.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- In the API Key field, enter your Greenhouse Harvest API key.
- Click Yes, Continue to Greenhouse.
Your Greenhouse account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations
- The Zapier Greenhouse app works for up to 100 jobs. Using this app for more than 100 jobs may cause performance issues in Zapier.
- Rate limits are enforced on API requests. Harvest API requests for approved Greenhouse partners and customer-built custom integrations are limited to the amount specified in the X-RateLimit-Limit header, per 10 seconds. Unlisted vendors may be subject to additional rate limits.
