SugarCRM and Zapier connect to automate your CRM workflows. You can manage leads, contacts, tasks, and other records across modules.
Prerequisites
To use the SugarCRM app on Zapier, you must have:
- A paid SugarCRM plan.
- A Systems Administrator User account. Learn more about SugarCRM's account permissions.
For Zapier Team or Enterprise users, you can use a static IP address to connect to Zapier. This is useful if your SugarCRM instance requires IP allowlisting.
Connect SugarCRM to Zapier
To create an app connection to SugarCRM on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select SugarCRM.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- Complete the following fields:
- Sugar Instance URL: Enter your SugarCRM instance URL.
- Username: Enter your SugarCRM username.
- Password: Enter your SugarCRM password.

Zapieras API Platform (optional): Enable this if you're experiencing frequent connection issues due to login conflicts. You'll need to set upzapieras an API platform in SugarCRM. - Click Yes, Continue to SugarCRM.
Your SugarCRM account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- Updated Record (Polling) - Triggers when an existing record is updated in a module you specify.
Searches
- Find Record - Finds an existing record in any module you specify.
- Find or Create Record - Finds a record or creates one if it does not exist.
Actions
- Create Record - Creates a new record in any module you specify (Leads, Contacts, Tasks, etc.).
- Update Record - Updates an existing record in any module you specify.
Limitations
- Update actions overwrite existing data.
