How to get started with Follow Up Boss on Zapier

Follow Up Boss and Zapier help automate your real estate CRM tasks. You can use triggers like new contacts or deal updates to automatically create tasks, add notes, or apply action plans.

Prerequisites

To use the Follow Up Boss app on Zapier, you must have: 

  • A paid Follow Up Boss account.
  • Correct permission level to the information you need. Access permission are based on your role, requiring you to have one of the following roles: Owner, Admin (Broker), Agent, or Lender access.

Connect Follow Up Boss to Zapier

Find your Follow Up Boss credentials

To find your API Key, refer to Follow Up Boss’s instructions.

If API Key Restriction Power-Up is enabled, reach out to your Follow Up Boss Account Owner.

Connect to Follow Up Boss on Zapier

To create an app connection to Follow Up Boss on Zapier: 

  • Go to the Apps page.
  • Click + Add connection.
  • A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Follow Up Boss.
  • Click Add connection.
  • A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
  • Enter your API Key.
  • Click Yes, Continue to Follow Up Boss.

Your Follow Up Boss account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

  • New Appointment (Instant) - Fires when a new appointment is created in Follow Up Boss.
  • Deal Stage Updated (Instant) - Fires when the stage of a deal is updated in Follow Up Boss.

  • API Request (Beta) - This is an advanced action which makes a raw HTTP request that includes this integration's authentication.

For example, someone inquiries about a property, views or saves property as a favorite, an IDX registration or contact form. This will trigger action plans if a new lead is created from the event.
