Special step run statuses in Human in the Loop actions

When a Human in the Loop step runs, there are several step run status scenarios that are specific to Human in the Loop.

Special step run statuses

Collect Data action Request Approval action

Collect Data action

Status When does this occur? What happens to subsequent workflow steps?
`Needs review` The Human in the Loop step is waiting for review. Paused until the review is completed.
`Success`
  • The reviewer clicked Submit.
  • The reviewer clicked Skip.
  • The Human in the Loop step is configured to continue running, and the request timed out.
The rest of the workflow steps continue running.
`Filtered` The Human in the Loop step is configured to end the run when the request times out. All subsequent steps will be filtered and will not run.

Human in the Loop replay limitations

Human in the Loop steps will not autoreplay if they are configured to stop running when:

  • The reviewer declines the approval request (Request Approval action).
  • The request times out (both Collect Data and Request Approval actions).

You can only replay these steps if you replay the entire Zap run. Reviewers will need to re-review all Human in the Loop steps.
