Symptoms
When using the QuickBooks Online Create Invoice action in your Zaps, you see the error message "Required field "Name" (name) is missing. Required field "Recurrence Type" (recurType) is missing. Required field "Interval Type" (interval) is missing. Required field "Start Date" (startDate) is missing.".
You may see this error when setting up a Zap or in the details of a Zap run in your Zap history.
Causes
This happens when the required fields are empty:
- Name
- Recurrence Type
- Interval Type
- Start Date
These fields are required if the Make Recurring? field is set to True.
How to fix it
To fix this issue:
- If you want to create recurring invoices:
- Go to the affected QuickBooks Online step.
- In the Configure tab, in the Recurring info section, complete the following fields:
- Name
- Recurrence Type
- Interval Type
- Start Date
- If you do not need recurring invoices:
- Go to the affected QuickBooks Online step.
- In the Configure tab, in the Make Recurring? field, select False. This will remove those required fields.
- If the required fields do not disappear, click the Refresh fields icon.
