Slack is deprecating its legacy Workflow Builder on September 26, 2024.
Here’s what you need to know about this update:
- On September 26, unmigrated Zapier workflows in Slack and corresponding Zap workflows using the "Workflow step" trigger will stop working.
- If you need additional time to adjust to these changes, Zapier customers can request an extension through your Slack Customer Success Manager by September 20, 2024. Extensions will be available until November 12, 2024.
Find your affected Zap workflows
View from Slack
- In Slack, click your workspace name in the top left-hand corner. A dropdown will appear.
- Click Tools and select Legacy Workflow Management. A new dialog box will appear displaying all workflows you’ve created with Zapier.
View from Zapier
- Go to your Zap workflows.
- In the search box, search for and select Slack.
- Affected Zap workflows will appear beside an Edit in Slack button.

While Zapier is not an available connector with the latest version of Slack’s Workflow Builder, some users may be able to connect Zapier to Slack’s Workflow Builder using webhooks.
