Start Simple Builder sunset

There are currently two builders that you can use to create your own actions:

  • Start Simple Builder
  • Create with AI Builder

The Start Simple Builder will be sunsetted on July 8, 2024. We're doing this to simplify the experience of creating your own actions.

This means that going forward, custom actions can only be created through one builder.

What is the new builder experience?

This builder will be the same as what we previously referred to as the Create with AI builder. It allows you to leverage our AI-powered Copilot to create your own action. This helps to generate the API request, as it’s able to search through an app’s API docs to identify the settings needed to create an action. You also have the option to use a code editor to further refine your action.

  • Custom actions created with the Start Simple Builder will be converted into an API Request action. This means they will appear as an API Request (Beta) action in the Zap editor.
  • During this process, your Zaps using these actions will continue to run as normal.
