How to get started with Google Workspace Admin on Zapier

Google Workspace Admin and Zapier connect to automate user management. You can trigger actions when new users are added and create or update users.

Prerequisites

To use the Google Workspace Admin app on Zapier, you must have:

  • A paid Google Workspace plan (Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, or Enterprise Plus).
  • Admin permissions in your Google Workspace account to use certain actions like "Assign Role to User" and "Remove Role from User". 

Connect Google Workspace Admin to Zapier

To create an app connection to Google Workspace Admin on Zapier:

  • Go to the Apps page.
  • Click + Add connection.
  • A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Google Workspace Admin.
  • Click Add connection.
  • A new browser tab or window will open.
  • Log into Google Workspace Admin to authenticate.
  • Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.

Your Google Workspace Admin account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations

  • Rate limits apply with a default of 2,400 queries per minute per user per Google Cloud project, which can result in "userRateLimitExceeded" errors.
  • User creation is limited to 10 users per domain per second using the Directory API.
  • Zapier's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs must adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
