Move Zap workflows between accounts

If you have multiple Zapier accounts, you can move Zap workflows between them.

Pre-requisites

Before you can move Zap workflows between accounts:

  • You must have at least one account on a Team or Enterprise plan or have been invited to be a member of one.
  • If your Enterprise account has SAML enabled, an admin must provision your account in your company identity provider.

Move Zap workflows

To move your Zap workflows:

  1. In the upper right, click your account icon and select Move Zap workflows. You will be redirected to the Move Zap workflows page, which displays a list of Zap workflows you can move.
  2. Select the checkbox next to each Zap workflow you want to move. A menu bar will appear at the bottom of the page.
  3. In the menu bar, click Move to account. A popup window will open.
  4. Click the the Move to: field to open the dropdown menu.
  5. Select another account to move the Zap to. The dropdown menu will close.
  6. Click Move.
  7. Zapier will move the Zap to your personal folder in the new account.

Depending on the number of Zap workflows you're moving, it can take some time for the process to finish. Stay on the page until all the Zap workflows have been moved.

Note

Zap workflows will keep their current on/off status when they move into the new account.

Tip

App connections for moved Zap workflows

When you move your Zap workflows, any app account connections used in your Zap workflows move too. By default, they are private connected accounts. If you want your team members to edit a step that uses a private connected account, you will need to change it to a shared connection first.

Zap history for moved Zap workflows

The Zap history before the move remains in the source Zapier account but will display as a deleted Zap. Only tasks occurring after the Zap move will be visible in the destination Zapier account.

Limitations

  • You can only move Zap workflows that you own. Only folders which have Zap workflows owned by you are shown.
  • You can move Zap workflows from a personal account to a Team or Enterprise account and vice versa.
  • Moving a Zap does not turn it on or off. It will remain in its current state.
  • You must publish a Zap before you can move it.
