Connecting with Facebook Custom Audiences
- There are currently two versions of Zapier’s Facebook Custom Audiences app, due to changes in Facebook authentication. If your Zap has a Beta tag beside the connection name, please refer to the Facebook Custom Audiences Beta instructions.
- If you’ve updated to a Meta work account, you’ll need to reconnect to any previously connected Meta accounts in your Zapier account. Learn more about how to reconnect your account and prevent disruption to your Zaps.
Check your permission settings
If you are using Facebook Business Manager, you will need to check that you have the correct permissions before connecting your account to Zapier. You must have admin access for the page you want to use, and the ad account, as well as leads access. You can find more details on how to get these permissions. Although this guide references Facebook Lead Ads, the same permissions apply for Facebook Custom Audiences.
If you have trouble setting these permissions, it may mean you do not have admin access. In this case, the business manager admin can implement these changes for you. More information on controlling access to your leads can be found in Facebook's documentation.
Connect to Zapier
Once the permissions have been set on Facebook, connect your account to Zapier. When you create a Facebook Custom Audiences Zap, you'll be asked to log in to your account (unless you are already logged in).
If all steps were successful, your Facebook account will now be connected.
Connecting with Facebook Custom Audiences Beta
Before connecting Facebook to Zapier make sure that:
- The page you’re connecting is part of a Business Manager account.
- You have Manage page permission for that page.
- The account you’re connecting is an Admin for the Business Manager account.
When you create a Facebook Custom Ads Beta Zap, you'll be asked to log in to your Facebook account (unless you are already logged in).
Once you have logged in, select the Business Manager, page, and ad account you want to use. Your primary options will be selected by default.
If all steps were successful, your Facebook account will now be connected.
