Microsoft To Do and Zapier connect to automate your tasks. You can trigger actions when new tasks are created or completed and create new tasks in lists.
Prerequisites
To use the Microsoft To Do app on Zapier, you must have:
- A valid Microsoft account - either a personal Microsoft account (free) or a work/school account with appropriate licensing.
- For work/school accounts: A supported Microsoft 365 subscription that includes Microsoft To Do licensing (Business Essentials, Business Premium, Enterprise E1-E5, Education plans, etc.).
Connect Microsoft To Do to Zapier
To create an app connection to Microsoft To Do on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Microsoft To Do.
- Click Add connection.
- A new browser tab or window will open.
- Log into Microsoft To Do to authenticate.
- Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.
Your Microsoft To Do account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations
- API rate limits apply. Microsoft Graph API (which Microsoft To Do uses) has a global limit of 130,000 requests per 10 seconds per app across all tenants, and the Microsoft To-Do connector specifically limits API calls to 100 per connection every 60 seconds.
- Trigger polls are limited to once every 120 seconds (2 minutes), which may cause delays in real-time automation.
