Gravity Forms and Zapier connect to automate form workflows. You can trigger actions when forms are submitted and create new entries in your forms.
Prerequisites
To use the Gravity Forms app on Zapier, you must have:
- A Gravity Forms Pro or Elite license.
- The Gravity Forms Zapier add-on downloaded and installed on your WordPress site.
- An SSL certificate installed and configured on your website.
- Your website must be accessible to the internet (Zapier needs to reach your site via REST API).
- A WordPress user account with the gravityforms_edit_forms capability and Read/Write privileges for creating REST API keys.
- A Gravity Forms REST API v2 key (Consumer Key and Consumer Secret) created in your WordPress admin.
Connect Gravity Forms to Zapier
To create an app connection to Gravity Forms on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Gravity Forms.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- Complete the following fields:
- Site URL: Enter your WordPress site's base URL (e.g., https://yoursite.com).
- Consumer Key: Enter your Consumer Key from your Gravity Forms REST API settings. You must have Read/Write privileges.
- Consumer Secret: Enter your Consumer Secret from your Gravity Forms REST API settings.
- Click Yes, Continue to Gravity Forms. Your Gravity Forms account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations
- Authorization header must be working properly in WordPress (can be tested via Tools Site Health).
- WordPress plugins like WordFence can block REST API connections and may require adding https://hooks.zapier.com/ to your safe list.
- CloudFlare users may need to contact CloudFlare support to allowlist API connections.
- Multiple fields with the same label can cause empty field issues, requiring unique labels for each field.
- Signature field URLs are intentionally not sent for security reasons and are not available.
- During testing, File field URLs in sample data are placeholder URLs that show real files. Instead, you can edit the test record to test with a file URL.
- Websites behind firewalls, using .htpasswd protection, or with restricted access may not work with Zapier. Learn more in troubleshooting the Zapier Add-On.
- Bad redirection rules in .htaccess files can cause REST API requests to fail.
- Confirm Email plugins can send incorrect email results and may need to be disabled.
