Todoist and Zapier connect to automate your task management. You can trigger actions when tasks are completed or created and create new tasks in projects.
Prerequisites
To use the Todoist app on Zapier, you must have:
- An active Todoist account (free Beginner plan or any paid plan).
Connect Todoist to Zapier
To create an app connection to Todoist on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Todoist.
- Click Add connection.
- A new browser tab or window will open.
- Log into Todoist to authenticate.
- Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.
Your Todoist account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- API Request (Beta) - This is an advanced action which makes a raw HTTP request that includes this integration's authentication.
Limitations
- API rate limiting allows a maximum of 450 requests per user within a 15-minute period.
- Processing timeout of 15 seconds on each API request.
