How to get started with Zendesk Sell on Zapier

Zendesk Sell and Zapier connect to automate your sales work. You can trigger actions when new leads or deals are created and create contacts or notes.

Prerequisites

To use the Zendesk Sell app on Zapier, you must have:

  • A Zendesk Sell Growth plan or higher.
  • API access enabled within your Zendesk Sells account. This needs to be done by your administrator. 
  • Appropriate user permissions within Zendesk Sell to interact with relevant records (e.g., Leads, Contacts, Deals). The permissions needed will vary depending on the specific action you choose in Zapier. 

Connect Zendesk Sell to Zapier

To create an app connection to Zendesk Sell on Zapier:

  • Go to the Apps page.
  • Click + Add connection.
  • A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Zendesk Sell.
  • Click Add connection.
  • A new browser tab or window will open.
  • Log into Zendesk Sell to authenticate.
  • Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.

Your Zendesk Sell account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations

  • API requests are limited to 36,000 requests per hour (10 requests per token per second).
  • When rate limits are exceeded, requests will receive a 429 Too Many Requests response code until the reset time is reached.
  • Zendesk Sell sends up to 500 contacts at a time, so if more contacts are added between Zap runs, they'll be missed.
