Campaign Monitor and Zapier connect to automate email marketing. You can trigger actions when new subscribers join and add subscribers from forms or apps.
Prerequisites
To use the Campaign Monitor app on Zapier, you must have:
- An active Campaign Monitor account (Free trial, Lite, Essentials, or Premier plan).
- A verified email address associated with your Campaign Monitor account to access API keys.
- Full access permissions in your Campaign Monitor account to view and generate API keys.
Connect Campaign Monitor to Zapier
To create an app connection to Campaign Monitor on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Campaign Monitor.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- In the API Key field, enter your Campaign Monitor API key.
- Click Yes, Continue to Campaign Monitor.
Your Campaign Monitor account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations
- Only sent campaigns can be selected in Zapier triggers. Draft campaigns will not appear in dropdown options until they are sent to at least one recipient.
- Rate limiting applies to all transactional endpoints in the Campaign Monitor API, which may affect the frequency of automated actions through Zapier.
- Authentication errors can occur if the wrong API key is used. Users must use the actual API key (accessed by clicking "Show API key") rather than the Client ID.
