Ideogram.ai and Zapier connect to automate AI image workflows. You can generate images from text, remix and edit images, reframe, and replace backgrounds.
Prerequisites
To use the Ideogram.ai app on Zapier, you must have:
- An Ideogram.ai account with API access.
- An API key from the API Keys section of your Ideogram.ai account.
Find your Ideogram.ai API key
Create or copy an API key under API keys in your Ideogram.ai account.
Connect Ideogram.ai to Zapier
To create an app connection to Ideogram.ai on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Ideogram.ai.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- In the API Key field, enter your Ideogram.ai API key.
- Click Yes, Continue to Ideogram.ai.
Your Ideogram.ai account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- Edit (V3) - Edits an image using a mask and prompt with the Ideogram.ai V3 API. The mask (black and white, same size as the image) marks regions to edit. Supports JPEG, PNG, and WebP.
- Reframe (V3) - Reframes a square image to a chosen resolution with the Ideogram.ai V3 API. Supports JPEG, PNG, and WebP.
- Replace Background (V3) - Replaces the background of an image using a prompt with the Ideogram.ai V3 API. The foreground subject is kept; the background is replaced based on the prompt and style. Supports JPEG, PNG, and WebP.
Limitations
- The Ideogram.ai API applies a default cap of 10 inflight requests; contact Ideogram.ai for higher throughput.
