In Zapier Canvas, you can embed external content directly into your canvas to create rich, visual documentation of your automated systems.
How to embed content into a canvas
You can embed content by creating an embed link step or by adding it directly to a default step.
Embed link step
- From the Canvas home, select your canvas.
- Click the down arrow in the toolbar at the bottom of the canvas.
- Click Embed link. A dialog box will open.
- Paste the link to your content in the field.
- Click Add.
Default step
- From the Canvas home, select your canvas.
- Click the default step in the toolbar at the bottom of the canvas.
- Click anywhere on the canvas to place it.
- Click the link icon . A dialog box will open.

Paste the link to your content in the field.
- In the Display as dropdown menu, select Embed.
- Click Add.

Supported embed types
Canvas supports embedding content from these sources:
Media
- YouTube
- Loom
- Vimeo
- Video URLs from any source using the following image formats:
.mp4,.webm,.ogg,.mov,.avi,.mkv - Spotify
- Image and GIF URLs from any source in the following formats:
.png,.jpeg,.svg, or.gif
Spreadsheets and databases
- Google Sheets
- Airtable
- Microsoft Excel
Documents and files
- Google Docs
- Google Slides
- Google Drive files
- Notion pages (must be published publicly)
- Coda (must be published publicly)
- FigJam
- Figma
Forms and surveys
- Google Forms
Scheduling and calendars
- Google Calendar
- Calendly
Beyond the apps in this list, any app that supports public embed links should work in Canvas. If you're having trouble embedding content with a regular link, try using the app's public embed link instead.
