Embed external content into your canvas

In Zapier Canvas, you can embed external content directly into your canvas to create rich, visual documentation of your automated systems. 

How to embed content into a canvas

You can embed content by creating an embed link step or by adding it directly to a default step.

Embed link step

  1. From the Canvas home, select your canvas.
  2. Click the down arrow  in the toolbar at the bottom of the canvas.
  3. Click Embed link. A dialog box will open.
  4. Paste the link to your content in the field.
  5. Click Add.

Supported embed types

Canvas supports embedding content from these sources:

Media

  • YouTube
  • Loom
  • Vimeo
  • Video URLs from any source using the following image formats: .mp4, .webm, .ogg, .mov, .avi, .mkv
  • Spotify
  • Image and GIF URLs from any source in the following formats: .png, .jpeg, .svg, or .gif

Spreadsheets and databases

  • Google Sheets
  • Airtable
  • Microsoft Excel

Documents and files

  • Google Docs
  • Google Slides
  • Google Drive files
  • Notion pages (must be published publicly)
  • Coda (must be published publicly)
  • FigJam
  • Figma

Forms and surveys

  • Google Forms

Scheduling and calendars

  • Google Calendar
  • Calendly

Beyond the apps in this list, any app that supports public embed links should work in Canvas. If you're having trouble embedding content with a regular link, try using the app's public embed link instead.
