Transfer mailboxes between email parser accounts

Transferring a mailbox moves ownership and management of a parsed email address to another Email Parser account.

Before you begin

Upon the transfer's completion (the moment the new owner accepts), access is immediately removed from the original owner's email parser account.

All associated Zapier workflows will immediately stop working. The new owner must update the email parser app connection in all assets to re-establishes the connection.

1. Transfer a mailbox (original owner)

  1. Sign in to your Email Parser account.
  2. Find the mailbox you want to transfer and click the Transfer Mailbox next to it..
  3. In the Recipient Email field, enter the email address of the destination Email Parser account (the new owner).
  4. (Optional) In the Message field, add an explanation to the new owner explaining the parser's function and associated workflows.
  5. Click Send Transfer Request. A confirmation message will appear, and the mailbox status will change to “Transfer pending".
  6. Notify the new owner to log into their Email Parser account to complete the transfer.

Any assets associated with this mailbox (original owner) will continue to work until the new owner accepts the transfer.

2. Accept a mailbox transfer (new owner)

  1. Sign in to your Email Parser account.
  2. On the right side, click View Pending Transfers.
  3. The Pending Mailbox Transfers page locate the mailbox and click Accept.
  4. Click Accept Transfer to complete the process.
  5. The mailbox and all its data will now appear in your account.

3. Post-transfer: Update Zapier workflows

Immediately after acceptance, all connected Zapier workflows will break. The new owner must update the app connection to maintain automation.

  1. Ensure an app connection exists. Confirm you have a connected Email Parser app connection associated with your new Email Parser account. If you do not, you will need to create a new one.
  2. In each of your Zapier workflows, you will need to re-select this new app connection.

Next steps

After successfully transferring a mailbox:

  • Inform team members about the mailbox location change.
  • Test your parsing rules to ensure they work correctly in the new account.
