We're enhancing the security and reliability of the URL Shortener app by moving it to a premium app.
This change takes effect on January 15, 2026.
What you need to know
- Requirements: The URL Shortener app will be available to users on a paid Zapier plan or those on an eligible free trial that includes premium features.
- Impact: If you do not meet this requirement by the effective date, any workflows currently using the URL Shortener app will stop running.
- Why? This allows us to better authenticate usage, reduce abuse (including spam and phishing attempts), and continue investing security safeguards to protect our legitimate customers
