How to get started with Freshdesk on Zapier

Freshdesk and Zapier connect to automate your support work. You can trigger actions when new tickets are created and create tickets from forms or updates.

Prerequisites

To use the Freshdesk app on Zapier, you must have:

  • A Freshdesk account on a paid plan (Growth, Pro, or Enterprise).
  • Your Freshdesk API key, which can be found in your profile settings under the "API Key" section (only available to admin/account admin users).

Connect Freshdesk to Zapier

To create an app connection to Freshdesk on Zapier:

  • Go to the Apps page.
  • Click + Add connection.
  • A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Freshdesk.
  • Click Add connection.
  • A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
  • Complete the following fields:
    • API Key: Enter your Freshdesk API key.
    • Sudomain: Enter your Freshdesk registered domain name.
  • Click Yes, Continue to Freshdesk.

Your Freshdesk account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations

  • API rate limits vary by plan. Free plan has 0 API calls per minute, Growth plan allows 200 calls per minute, Pro plan allows 400 calls per minute, and Enterprise plan allows 700 calls per minute. Trial accounts are limited to 50 calls per minute.
