How to get started with Vectara on Zapier

Vectara and Zapier connect to automate AI search workflows. You can trigger document uploads and create search queries in your vector database.

Prerequisites

To use the Vectara app on Zapier, you must have:

  • A Vectara account.
  • At least one corpus created in your Vectara account (a corpus is a collection of documents that can be searched). 
  • The appropriate corpus-level permissions to perform the desired actions

Connect Vectara to Zapier

Find your Vectara credentials

To find your Vectara client ID and secret you need to create an application client in the Vectara console. Once created, you can access your credentials.

Connect to Vectara on Zapier

To create an app connection to Vectara on Zapier:

  • Go to the Apps page.
  • Click + Add connection.
  • A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Vectara.
  • Click Add connection.
  • A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
  • Complete the following fields:
    • Client ID: Enter your Vectara client ID.
    • Client Secret: Enter your Vectara client secret.
  • Click Yes, Continue to Vectara.

Your Vectara account is now successfully connected to Zapier.
