Mistral AI and Zapier connect to automate AI workflows. You can trigger actions from other apps and create chat completions using AI models.
Prerequisites
To use the Mistral AI app on Zapier, you must have:
- An active Mistral AI account.
- A Mistral AI Experiment or Scale plan to create an API key.
Connect Mistral AI to Zapier
To create an app connection to Mistral AI on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Mistral AI.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- In the API Key field, enter your Mistral AI API key.
- Click Yes, Continue to Mistral AI.
Your Mistral AI account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations
- Rate limits apply based on usage tiers. Mistral AI implements rate limits including requests per second (RPS) and tokens per minute/month, with restrictive limits on the free tier designed for exploration rather than production use.
- Different models have varying maximum token limits (ranging from 8k to 256k tokens), and the token count of prompts plus max_tokens cannot exceed the model's context length.
- Users must comply with Mistral AI's Usage Policy and cannot use the service for illegal content, harmful activities, or to violate third-party rights.
