Glean connection options
The Glean app supports three methods for connecting to Zapier:
- Client API token: Supported by all Glean instances.
- Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD): For organizations that connect to Glean using Microsoft accounts (Azure Active Directory).
- Google Workspace (formerly G Suite): For organizations that connect to Glean using Google accounts.
Prerequisites
- A paid Zapier account. Glean is a premium app on Zapier.
- A paid Glean account.
- If your organization uses Microsoft Entra ID or Google for connection, an administrator must complete a one-time setup before you can connect to Glean.
- If connecting using a Client API token, a Glean administrator must create the API token for you. The token must be a user-scoped token (not a global-scoped token) and include the minimum scopes
SEARCHandCOLLECTIONS.- Depending on the actions you're using, you may need additional scopes. Work with your administrator to determine if additional scopes are necessary.
- To use the Delete Document or Index Document actions, you will need an Indexing API Token during the connection setup in Zapier. Contact your Glean Super Admin to have a token generated for you.
