Prompt AI to create a system in Zapier Canvas

Zapier Canvas can generate a system recommendation to help you automate your business. Using AI, Canvas will create a set of steps that you can then use to build an automated workflow. This feature is helpful when you need inspiration for automating your processes.

Get a system recommendation

To get started:

1. On the Canvas home, go to the Get a system recommendation section.
2. In the field provided, enter a brief description of the process you want to create. That will be the AI prompt.
3. Click Generate. You'll be taken to the canvas page while the system is generated. 

The AI will use Zaps, Zapier Interfaces, Zapier Chatbots, and Zapier Tables to help you develop an automated system. 

Tip

You can also get system recommendations using AI by clicking + Create Canvas on the Canvas home, and then selecting Start with AI copilot in the dialog box.

Using a suggested system

You can review the proposed steps and assets before using the system. Assets such as Zaps, chatbots, and tables will not be created until you decide to use them.

• To accept and create a system, click Use this system. The system will be view-only until you do this.
• Click Start over to restart the canvas creation process.

Note

The account must have enough Zaps, interfaces, chatbots, or tables to create the whole system. If you need to upgrade before using it, a banner will appear, and the Use this system button will show as Upgrade. 

Modify the original prompt

If you want to make changes to the suggested system: 

• Click Modify prompt. A sidebar will appear.
• In the Additional changes field, enter any other guidance the AI should follow.
• Click Update system. The system will be updated to include the new information.
• If you're happy with the changes, click Use this system to create it.

How to get the best recommendations

The recommendations work well with very clear requests that:

• Give the AI a broader explanation of the expected end result.
• Offer further details of the most important information or steps within that system.

Example

Here are some examples of prompts you can use to get a good recommendation:

• I need a system to manage leads for my sales team. I want to track leads, assign them to sales reps, and see the status of each lead.
• Recommend me a simple CRM system to manage my customers. I want to track customer information, interactions, and sales.
• Create an order form for my website. This should collect customer information, products, and payment details.
• I want a request portal for my team. Make sure to collect requests, assign them to team members, and track the status of each request.
