File upload fields let users upload their own files through a form component in Zapier Interfaces. You can restrict the allowed file types, file sizes, and maximum number of files. Learn how to add a new form component.
To add a file upload field to your form:
- Click an existing form component on any page of your interface. A sidebar will open.
- In the Content tab, under the Fields section, click + Add field.
- In the field Field name in Table, enter a name for the new field.
- Click the Type field dropdown menu and select File upload (for single file uploads) or Multiple file upload.
- Customize field settings, then click Insert field.
Customize file upload options
The following settings for the file upload field can be customized:
Setting name | Description and limits |

Max File Size | The maximum file size.

Allowed File Types | The types of files accepted. Must be separated by commas. Learn more about the supported file types. |
Set files limit ("Multiple file upload" field only) | Restricts the number of files that can be uploaded.

Locate uploaded files
Files uploaded through a form are added as a link to the table field that powers your form. To view the uploaded files:
- From the page in the interface where your form is located, click the Linked assets icon.
- Click the icon beside the name of the table linked to your form.
- Find your file field, and click the white space within any of its cells to see the full content of that cell.
- Click the icon on one of the Link fields of the cell to open or download the file.
