Meta has announced that the Instagram Basic Display API that powers Zapier’s Instagram integration will be deprecated today, December 4, 2024. As a result, any Zaps using the Instagram app will stop functioning on this date.
To maintain functionality, please migrate your Zaps to the Instagram for Business integration, which offers the same key features and more.
What you need to know
Impact:
- Zaps built with the Instagram app will no longer work after December 4, 2024.
- The Instagram for Business integration supports Business and Creator accounts only. Meta has discontinued API support for non-Business/Creator accounts.
Next steps for Business/Creator accounts:
- Your Instagram account must be set up as a Business or Creator account. Learn more about professional accounts on Instagram.
- To maintain functionality, you must use the Instagram for Business and update any Zap steps that use the deprecated app.
- The New Media Posted to My Account trigger in the Instagram for Business app functions the same as the New Media posted to My Account trigger in the deprecated integration.
