Add a Link button to a chatbot

The Link button logic type lets you display a button to schedule a meeting, contact support, or direct users to any other link you prefer, directly from the chat window. You can display the button when the conversation starts or if the user enters a specific keyword.

 

Create the Link button logic

  1. From the Chatbots home, select your chatbot.
  2. Click the Logic tab. 
    1. If you have no logic types set up, select Schedule button
    2. If you already have any logic types set up, click + Add logic and select Schedule button.
  3. In the Button shows dropdown menu, select when the chatbot should display these suggestions:
    • At the beginning of the conversation.
    • When keywords are used.

  • In the Button text field, enter a label for the button, like “Book a meeting”.
  • In the Button link field, enter the link to your scheduling app, form, or other contact option.
  • In the Button icon field, select an icon to will appear beside the label.
  • Click Create button.

 

Edit keywords

If you're using keywords for this logic type, you can edit them at any time:

  1. Click the Logic tab.
  2. Click Link button.
    • Click the text field of a suggestion to edit its text.
    • Click the Drag icon to move a keyword to a different position.
    • Click the Delete icon beside a keyword to remove it. 

Click Save.
