The Link button logic type lets you display a button to schedule a meeting, contact support, or direct users to any other link you prefer, directly from the chat window. You can display the button when the conversation starts or if the user enters a specific keyword.
Create the Link button logic
- From the Chatbots home, select your chatbot.
- Click the Logic tab.
- If you have no logic types set up, select Schedule button.
- If you already have any logic types set up, click + Add logic and select Schedule button.
- In the Button shows dropdown menu, select when the chatbot should display these suggestions:
- At the beginning of the conversation.
- When keywords are used.
At the beginning of the conversation
- In the Button text field, enter a label for the button, like “Book a meeting”.
- In the Button link field, enter the link to your scheduling app, form, or other contact option.
- In the Button icon field, select an icon to will appear beside the label.
- Click Create button.
When keywords are used
- In the Keywords section, you can keep the existing examples or edit them by entering a new value in the text field.
- (Optional) Click + Add keyword to add more keywords.
- You can add up to 10 keywords.
- In the Button text field, enter a label for the button, such as “Contact support”.
- In the Button link field, enter the link to your scheduling app, form, or other contact option.
- In the Button icon field, select an icon to will appear beside the label.
- Click Create button.
Edit keywords
If you're using keywords for this logic type, you can edit them at any time:
- Click the Logic tab.
- Click Link button.
- Click the text field of a suggestion to edit its text.
- Click the Drag icon to move a keyword to a different position.
- Click the Delete icon beside a keyword to remove it.
Click Save.
