The Stripe component lets you collect payments for products or services. You can use your own Stripe account on any page of your interface.

Connect your Stripe account to the interface

  1. From any interface page, click the plus sign + at the bottom of the page. A new dialog box will open.
  2. Search for and select the Stripe component.
  3. Click the Go to Stripe onboarding icon to log in to your Stripe account.

After you complete this step, Stripe must verify your account. It may take a few minutes, but you can continue creating products while you wait. You'll see a notification at the top of your products while verification is pending.

Note
If your account is awaiting verification from Stripe, you'll see a notification on the dialog box whenever you add a new Stripe component to a page. You can still add components while the verification is underway and the notification will disappear once it's complete.

Limitations

The Stripe component does not support:

  • Products and prices created through your Stripe account.
  • Collecting shipping information to send physical products.

Create a new product

  1. From any interface page, click the plus sign + at the bottom of the page. A new dialog box will open.
  2. Search for and select the Stripe component.
  3. Click Add component. Your component will appear on the page, and a sidebar will open.
  4. In the sidebar, complete the fields:
    • Is subscription: mark the product as a subscription. You can then select the interval.
    • Title: the name of your product or service.
    • Description: info about your product or service.
    • Button label: the button text, such as "Buy now."
    • Currency: the currency you’re accepting payment in. The component currently supports USD, CAD, and EUR.
    • Value: the price of the product or service.
    • Quantity limit: the maximum amount a user can buy at once.
    • Emoji: an emoji to display with the description and title.
    • Width: how much horizontal space the component will take up.
    • Alignment: how the component should be aligned on the page (right, left, or center).
Tip
You can add up to three Stripe components within a Layout component to display them side by side.

Collecting tax for sales

You can set up tax collection and calculation during the Stripe account connection process by opting into Stripe Tax and configuring the appropriate tax registration through the Stripe dashboard.

Note
  • If you do not configure your tax registrations, taxes will not be automatically collected.
  • Stripe Tax fees apply.

Creating subscriptions

If you mark your product as a subscription, you can select from the following intervals:

  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Annual

All subscriptions are recurring with no end date.

Canceling a subscription

You can cancel a subscription on your customer's behalf through the Stripe dashboard. You can also create a Stripe customer portal for your own users to manage their subscriptions.

Refund your customers

You can refund your customers through the Stripe dashboard. Stripe's documentation has instructions on how to refund a Stripe payment.

Transaction fees

For a limited time, Zapier will not charge transaction fees for sales through an interface. Stripe may still charge fees, as applicable.

Remove your Stripe account

To remove your Stripe account from your interface, follow Stripe's instructions for unlinking your Stripe account from a third-party platform.

When you unlink your account, Stripe components will stay on the page, but they will no longer appear when someone visits the page, and you will not be able to collect payments.

Automate post-sales processes with actions

Once someone orders a product or service, you can automatically continue the sales process using the Actions tab. You can send your customer to another page within the interface or to an external URL, show a notification, or run a Zap.

Run Zaps for the Stripe transactions

You can create Zaps that trigger when a successful transaction happens through your Stripe component.

Provide feedback and get help

You can make a feature request, provide feedback on existing features, and get help from the Interfaces team.
