How to get started with Fence Cloud on Zapier

Connect to Fence Cloud on Zapier

Fence Cloud uses API keys to authenticate your account on Zapier.

Required authentication fields

Additional authentication instructions

  1. Log into your Fence Cloud account.
  2. Click on your user profile picture.
  3. Click Admin Dashboard.
  4. Click the system dropdown.
  5. Click Zapier Settings.
  6. Click Generate New Key.
  7. Click Copy or Show and Copy Manually.

About Fence Cloud's app

Are self-hosted or cloud-hosted accounts supported? Cloud-hosted accounts only
  • Each account has its own SubDomain assigned to it, e.g. acctA.Fence.
  • Cloud error codes are usually shown with an "Oops!" Page.
Is a paid Fence Cloud plan required? Yes You must be on a paid Fence Cloud plan. View Fence Cloud's plans.
Are any special account permissions required? Yes

Admins:

  • Can generate and view the Zapier API key.
  • Can use both triggers and actions in their Zaps.

Users and Editors:

  • Can only use triggers in their Zaps.
Are there usage limits? No

Do trigger samples use real data from your account or generic data? Generic trigger samples  
Are custom fields supported? No  
Do update actions overwrite or append to existing data? Not applicable
