How to get started with RentCast on Zapier

Connect to RentCast on Zapier

RentCast uses API keys to authenticate your account on Zapier.

  1. Log into your RentCast account.
  2. Scroll down to the API Keys section.
  3. Click Create API Key at the top right.
  4. Enter a name for the API key.
  5. Click Create API Key at the bottom of the popup.
  6. Click the copy button next to the API key you'd like to use with Zapier to copy the API key to your clipboard.


About RentCast's app

Are self-hosted or cloud-hosted accounts supported? Cloud-hosted accounts only  
Is a paid RentCast plan required? Yes You must have a RentCast API subscription. If you do not have an active RentCast API subscription, you will see the following error message: "The provided API key is not associated with an active API subscription. View subscription status on your API dashboard:". View RentCast's plans.
Are any special account permissions required? No  
Are there usage limits? Yes Rate limit of 20 requests per second, per API key, regardless of your billing or subscription plan. If you reach this limit, you will receive an error with a 429 status code and the following message: "The rate limit of 20 requests per second has been exceeded"

Are there pagination limits? Yes Several RentCast actions return large lists of property records or listings in sets (or groups), up to 500 records or listings at a time. This is done to prevent you from receiving potentially thousands or millions of results all at once, instead giving you control over how many results you receive. You can retrieve additional sets of results for the same query using pagination, controlled with the "Number of Results" and "Offset of Results" input fields. Do trigger samples use real data from your account or generic data? Not applicable  
Are custom fields supported? No  
Do update actions overwrite or append to existing data? Not applicable
