Starting Feb 15, 2024, Atlassian will no longer support Jira Server. While the software will remain usable for the time being, it will no longer receive updates or maintenance from Atlassian. This may affect you if you're using Jira Server in a Zap.

While there is no current end-of-life date announced, using unsupported software poses potential security risks and compatibility issues. Atlassian is recommending that Jira Server users switch to one of their supported software:

  • Jira Cloud.
  • Jira Data Center.

How this update may affect your Zapier account

If you use the Jira Software Server app in your Zaps, depending on if you have stayed with Jira Server or migrated to a different app, you may need to take action in your Zapier account:

  • Continue to use Jira Server: Zaps that use the Jira Software Server app will continue to work as expected until Atlassian withdraws the app. No further action is required.
  • Migrate to Jira Cloud: You’ll need to update your Zaps to use the Jira Software Cloud app.
  • Upgrade to Jira Data Center: Zaps using the current Jira Software Server app will continue to work as normal. No further action is required. However, there may be some issues that Zapier hasn’t foreseen, in which case, reach out to the Zapier Support team.

You can view all your Zaps that use Jira Software Server.
