How to get started with KnowledgeOwl on Zapier

Connect to KnowledgeOwl on Zapier

KnowledgeOwl uses API keys to authenticate your account on Zapier.

To create an API Key, you must be an account admin. 

  1. Log in to your KnowledgeOwl account.
  2. Click Your Account > API from the top right.
  3. Click Add New API Key.
  4. Type a purpose for the API key such as "Zapier".
  5. Make sure all the checkboxes are selected.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Copy the API key to your clipboard.

  • You must be an account admin to create API Keys.
  • Non-admins can use Zapier if provided with an API key by an account admin.

  • The KnowledgeOwl API isn't intended for extremely heavy use.
  • If you anticipate making over 2000 requests per 5 minutes, please contact KnowledgeOwl support to discuss your requirements.

Are there pagination limits? Yes
  • 500 results per page.
Do trigger samples use real data from your account or generic data? Generic trigger samples
  • KnowledgeOwl triggers will display sample data for each available parameter.
Are custom fields supported? No  
Do update actions overwrite or append to existing data? Not applicable
